We offer many activities for kids & adults!

The Clubhouse is the heart of our community.

It houses a well-equipped fitness center, outdoor pool, wading pool, wireless internet access, and a children’s play room with books, games, and puzzles. Seasonal activities are available for a nominal fee in the activity center.

Adjacent to the Clubhouse are the tennis, pickle ball, basketball courts, and children’s playground.

Information about our private boat launch, piers, fishing, crabbing, and multi-use trail is available from clubhouse staff. Bike and kayak rentals are available in season.

Check in at the Clubhouse to register and receive your required wristband for access to community facilities.

Best of Both Worlds

The Currituck Sound is a shallow protected inlet, perfect for kayaking, crabbing, or just watching gorgeous sunsets.

Monteray Shores also offers easy access to the Whalehead area of the northern beach by foot or car.

Launch small watercraft from our private boat launch or stroll our piers and marvel at the egrets, herons, and osprey that live there. Enjoy a memorable sunset and let that memory become your “happy place.”

To access the beach, cross NC 12 at the Clubhouse entrance and continue three blocks on Bonito to the public parking lot. You can also drive to the 4x4 section about six miles north on NC 12; be sure to follow all regulations regarding tire pressure and parking. Pedaling a Beach Cruiser? Try the entrance on Albacore by Monteray Plaza.

Multi-Use Trail

Do you prefer your sea air and sunshine with a little exercise or picnic?

Take a short break or a long lunch at the Monteray Shores pocket park located on the trail near the mid-point of the community. What a great way to enjoy the day!

Walk, jog, or bike along the trail that borders Monteray Shores and NC 12, and is part of the six mile long Corolla Greenway trail.

Enjoy the scenery, sound views, and maritime forests as you traverse the paved north-south pathway.
